Rodent Kennel Tech - Jupiter
Job Description
We're partnering with a research facility in the Jupiter area that is seeking a dependable Rodent Kennel Technician to join their team.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate:
$16.50 per hour
Responsibilities:

Clean, sanitize, and prepare animal cages and equipment for reuse.

Operate cage washing, sterilization, and sanitation equipment.

Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment.

Safely handle and dispose of bedding, waste, and other materials.

Follow all animal care, safety, and sanitation procedures.

Clean and sanitize animal support areas, including storage rooms and hallways.

Transport cages, bedding, equipment, and supplies throughout the facility.

Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing supplies.

Collect sanitation testing samples as directed.

Assist with training new team members when needed.

Complete required training and follow all facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

At least one year of recent experience working with animals in a research, veterinary, laboratory, agricultural, or similar environment.

AALAS ALAT certification is preferred, or the ability to obtain certification.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and safety protocols.
-
Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, standing, and moving equipment throughout the shift.
