Quality Assurance Technician - Aviation
Job Description
Support production and parts sales by physically inspecting components against engineering drawings and like specifications to ensure workmanship meets acceptable standards of quality and/or customer requirements. This review may also include reviewing the associated certification path, performing FAI, issuing applicable FAA forms, and completing functional tests- to include ensuring the documentation is properly completed and filed. The candidate would work as a part of a Quality Control/Assurance team assuring aircraft components are in compliance with FAA/TSO requirements.
Essential Functions

Perform and document inspections on products and processes including inspection of aircraft air lies, aircraft seats, divans and other seating systems, monuments, spares, and other like components as they are being assembled.

Conduct first article inspections to ensure compliance with FAA and/AS9102 approved procedures and ensure all associated records are completed.

Must possess working knowledge and application of Quality Assurance or Quality Control systems and methodologies (AS9100).

MRB Authority.

Issuance of FAA 8130-3, 8130-9, and 8100-1 Forms in accordance with FAA requirements for authorized functions and activities to include conformity, prototype, export, and 14 CFR Part 43 Return to Service activities.

Able to complete FAA initial/recurrent designee training if required with a passing certificate as part of ARD approval process.

Assist with nonconformance investigations
Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

Excellent communication, both written and verbal

Ability to read and interpret blueprints & schematics

Must be able to use various measuring devices (i.e., micrometers, calipers, gauges, multi-meter, etc.)

Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask

Work independently or in a team and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative
Education, Certifications, and Experience:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
5 years’ aircraft and/or like component inspection experience.

A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.

FAA Part 21 Parts Manufacturing Approval and FAA 145 Repair Station experience preferred.
Experience:
-
Aircraft component inspection: 3 years (Required)
-
FAA 145 Repair Station: 1 year (Preferred)
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
