Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, assisting them in daily living activities and promoting their independence.
Duties

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.

Provide patient care and support in various settings including group homes, assisted living facilities, and home health environments.

Monitor and document client vital signs and overall health status, ensuring adherence to care plans.

Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and personal growth.

Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.

Administer medications as prescribed while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Support individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with autism, Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other related conditions.

Assist with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Qualifications:

Must be 18 years or older.

High school diploma or GED; additional education or certification in healthcare or social work is preferred.

Must have valid driver’s license (no suspensions or infractions in last 5 years).

Previous experience in a group home or similar setting is highly desirable.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compassionate and patient demeanor.

Basic knowledge of healthcare practices and procedures.
-
BLS, CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
Benefits:

Competitive salary, $18.00 - $25.00 p/hour (depending on experience)

Work Hours: Full-time, 8hrs to 10hrs shifts, 3-shifts available with rotating weekends and holidays

Morning shift – between 6am to 3pm

Afternoon shift – between 2pm to 11pm

Night shift – between 10pm to 7am
-
Breaks - 30 min to 1hr lunch break and up to two 15 min breaks (depending on hours worked)
$18 - $25/hr.
