We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team on a 5-month contract basis to provide coverage during a maternity leave. The current team member will be transitioning out at the end of July, and we’re aiming to bring someone on board by the end of June to ensure a smooth handoff and onboarding process. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who can quickly integrate, take ownership, and support a busy finance team during a critical time.

Pay/Compensation/Details:

• $40/hour base pay, with flexibility to offer more to secure the right candidate

• Structured schedule: full-time hours, Monday to Friday (your choice of 8–5 or 9–5)

Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Assist with and lead monthly close processes

• Prepare and review journal entries and ledger reconciliations

• Review work completed by junior staff; provide oversight and accuracy checks

• Handle accruals and maintain the general ledger

• Perform detailed month-end review and analysis

• Utilize Excel (including pivot tables) to analyze high volumes of financial data

• Support rebate-related accounting (experience here is a bonus)

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role

• Must have strong month-end close, general ledger, and accruals experience

• Ability to review others’ work and provide helpful feedback

• Quick learner with strong attention to detail

• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis

• Experience working with large datasets

• Rebate accounting experience is a plus

• Must be available to commit fully through the end of the assignment (November)
